BPVis: visualization system for security situation awareness of blockchain network based on DPoS

Abstract

The blockchain network based on DPoS(delegated proof of stake) has drawn the attention of developers due to its outstanding performance, which places more demands on the network's operational safety and reliability. To meet the demand for blockchain network monitoring and analysis, this paper proposed a visual analysis method for DPoS blockchain network security situation based on analyzing the application of DPoS consensus mechanism. It established the peer stability and network stability quantification method and network value prediction model. It also designed several visualization views for peer geographic location distribution, network value trend, peer and network overall stability evolution, detail view, etc. It implemented an interactive visualization system for blockchain network security posture analysis, which supported exploring blockchain network from multiple perspectives. Finally, it verified the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method and system through case study analysis and user evaluation, and the results show that the proposed method can better assist users in analyzing the blockchain network security situation.
