Optimization for cooperative cellular manufacturing considering preference uncertainty

Abstract

In order to speed up the iterative renewal of products, enterprises can adopt the strategy of cooperative production as well as integrated research and manufacturing. This study considered the dynamic changes of customer preferences and the impact of competitive products in the aspect of product design, and introduced the idea of resource cooperation and shared of cellular manufacturing in the aspect of production. It established a cooperative cellular manufacturing model considering the uncertainty of customer preference with the objective of maximizing the customer utility per unit cost, so as to improve the welfare of consumers. This work also proposed a hybrid migrating birds optimization(HMBO) for solving this model. The proposed HMBO was compared with the classical migrating birds optimization(MBO) and simulated annealing(SA). A typical example and extensive numerical experiments verify the correctness and rationality of the method, and the results show that HMBO is superior to MBO and SA within the same runtime.
