Network resource correlation-aware virtual network mapping algorithm

Abstract

Aiming at the problem of low resource utilization in network virtualization environment, this paper proposed a resource correlation measurement model for measuring the fitness degree between virtual node and substrate vertex, then it mapped virtual node to substrate vertex having strong resource correlation value, which was the resource correlation between virtual node and substrate vertex. In order to reduce the mapping path length of virtual links, it mapped the adjacent virtual node to the adjacent substrate vertex by using the adjacency relationship model between nodes. Experimental results show that the distribution of substrate network resource is balanced, the resource cost of virtual network mapping is reduced, and the acceptance rate of virtual network requests is improved effectively by using the proposed virtual network mapping algorithm.
