Research on value ratio model of software crowdsourcing developers’ capability

Abstract

In order to better evaluate the ability of crowdsourcing software developers, this paper analysed three basic elements of crowdsourcing software development under crowdsourcing mode, which were crowdsourcing developers, task publishers and crowdsourcing platforms. This paper proposed a model of capability value rate for software crowdsourcing developers. The model subdivided crowdsourcing tasks into three dimensions, namely sub-tasks, time phases and quality characteristics. By evaluating crowdsourcing atomic units, the model evaluated comprehensively the quality of the whole crowdsourcing software. In the evaluation process, the model fully considered the value contribution factors of developers, and deduced the calculation method of the value rate of developers' ability. The validation experiments show that the overall quality value ratio of software crowdsourcing developers tends to be consistent with the increase of task amount. The model has better stability and can effectively evaluate the ability of software crowdsourcing developers.
