Node importance evaluating of network based on combination weighting VIKOR method

Abstract

The importance of nodes was determined by multiple factors. This paper extended the VIKOR method in multi-criteria decision theory to the process of node importance evaluation. Based on the AHP method and TOPSIS method, it comprehensively considered the weights of the evaluation indicators from both the subjective and the objective dimensions, and gave an optimized combination weighting strategy. Then this paper proposed the combination weighting VIKOR(CW-VIKOR) method. It carried out simulation experiments in four different types of real networks. The results show that the CW-VIKOR method can effectively identify important nodes in the network and has better performance in terms of node influence ability and network efficiency.
