Survey on application of Hyperledger in IoT from perspective of reconstructing diagrams

Abstract

In the deployment of blockchain-based IoT applications, technical hindrances in terms of lack of fine-grained privacy protection, low transaction processing efficiency, high latency, and lack of flexibility and dynamism have emerged. To further promote the popularization and application of blockchain technology in IoT, the Hyperledger dedicated to the enterprise standard blockchain technology has attracted wide attention from the research community. However, there is a lack of objective review for Hyperledger-based IoT in the current research. This study aimed to review the research on Hyperledger in the IoT domain with a unique perspective. In order to demonstrate more intuitive differences and provide a faster process of technology convergence, this study proposed a reconstruction diagrams analysis method. Reconstruction was the process of merging the core design of a literature with the original architecture and reconstructing the diagram that showed the core idea of the document. This approach aimed to visualize the core ideas of the literature. Finally, this article prospected and summarized the future research of Hyperledger in IoT in four directions: low-power consensus algorithm, intelligent transaction verification, on-chain and off-chain hybrid storage, and custom incentive mechanism.
